Take to the Skies is the most recent addition to Enter Shikari's short but plentiful career. It's a bold combination of a raw, young metal/hardcore four-piece and a polished, pretty boy band. Their songs jump back and forth between ear-crunching thrash and dark electronic trance. Enter Shikari does not spread themselves thin with so many style changes. Instead, they master each genre they indulge and push the song writing envelope to include seemingly random changes.

This album flows from beginning to end, each song catches and releases the listener into the next. There are as many catchy hooks throughout the album as there are changes. Enter Shikari seems to have a knack for knowing what you want to hear even before you do. At times, I was hoping for them to focus on a style and play it. After getting to know this album more, I'm more than willing to musically go where ever they want to take me.

For any metal fan open minded enough for a breath of fresh air, Enter Shikari.
