My Life’s Been A Country Song
4/5
“My Life’s Been A Country Song” is Chris Cagle’s best album to date. Sticking to his rock-pop influenced country, Cagle sticks to his winning formula, and has released a feel-good album.
Relying on writers for all tracks, however, does make some songs seem forced at times; however, the album is still highly enjoyable. Every disc has its clunkers, but the standouts here are truly noteworthy. The album starts out fairly strong with the enjoyable “What Kinda Gone.” “My Life’s Been A Country Song,” is one of the best tracks, as is the Kenny Chesney style track “Little Sundresss.” “Change Me” speaks straight to the heart. "It's Good To Be Back" gives listeners a chance to rock out.
“My Life’s Been A Country Song” will definitely help Cagle’s continual rise to the top, as the album has at least 4 tracks that could possibly hit the top 20.
