I’ll admit it, I’m not too familiar with the whole gangsta/crunk scene. However, I do have the ability to tell good music from…not so good music. This cd hovers somewhere in between.

Boyz N Da Hood are notorious for their heavy beats as well as their heavy content. This album is a poor representation of the reputation they have acquired. Just take a look at the inside of the album cover and you’ll see 4 guys trying way too hard. Super cheesy.

The first released single on this album “Everybody Know Me” is mediocre. I feel like I’ve heard dozens of the same song at the local dive bar…or maybe they were remixes. “Choppas” featuring Ice Cube was the only song that really lived up to the Boyz image, but unfortunately I’m not reviewing an Ice Cube album.

This cd is lacking. There’s no way I would pay money for this. Take your 15 bucks and spend it elsewhere.
