Billy Currington

Doin' Somethin' Right
4/5
Billy Currington is still “Doin’ Somethin' Right” with his latest release which is aptly titled. With many country artists today treading the cross-over line to pop music, it’s a nice change to see Billy has stuck close to his Georgia roots.
"Good Directions" is the type of track Kenny Chesney succeeds with over and over.
Billy's remake of "Lucille" possibly hits harder than Kenny Rogers' original. "I Wanna Be A Hillbilly," is downright fun to sing. The steel guitar in "That Changes Everything" is amazing. “She Knows What To Do With A Saturday Night” is an up-tempo crowd-pleaser.
The fear of the sophomore slump has definitely been defeated. Currington has successful released an album that is even better than his last. The fame he obtained with the hit single “Walk A Little Straighter” will only continue to blossom.
