Another Animal
Self-Titled
1/5
It has been two weeks since I received this CD. I’ve tried four times to listen to it. The first time I had to turn it off because I could feel the blood starting to drip from my ears. The second time I went into it trying to have an open mind, wanting to give an informed and non-bias review. I forgot it was playing and hopped in the shower. The third and fourth times I got so bored I turned it off and sat in silence.
I’m pretty easy to please with music. I listen to everything from my Mum’s Dixie Chicks albums, to my bro’s Foo Fighters albums, my roommates great Patrick Wolf, to my own Chemical Brothers tracks. But Another Animal is just that-- A totally different animal. There is nothing unique, engaging or exciting about this album. You could hear it at any bad high school talent search.
I’m sure the only reason this album got made was because some members are from Godsmack. This band reeks of side project. It’s something they should have kept for Godsmack’s B-sides. I could appreciate it if they were at least GOOD at making this drivel, but every sound coming out of my speakers was painful to listen to.
I’m embarrassed to have this album in my possession. I’m seriously considering burning it.
