Ladies and Gentlemen, Akon has done it once again. With his sophomore album, Konvicted, Akon shone through and showed his growth as an artist. His smooth, sweet sounding voice is enough reason for any girl to pick up this album and you actually forget what he’s really saying in the songs (like Smack That). He makes everything sound nice and sweet, so even the raunchy songs sound romantic.

This LP is full of energetic club hits that will have your head bobbing to the beat. The highlight of this album is "Mama Africa." This song is all about his roots and the love he has for his culture and he truly captured that with this song. It paints a beautiful African picture.

The only downfall of this album is Akon’s repetitive message about life on the streets or in the Ghetto. We’ve heard it all before Akon, we heard it on your last album. We get it. Now, let’s move on.

If you’re looking for a good dance with a hint of culture, pick up this album, Akon will not disappoint.
